1) Vicks. The person who invented DayQuil and NyQuil should have received the Noble prize in medicine. 2) Halls. Same for the person who invented their cough drops. 3) Rapid Covid tests you can do at home. Cause waiting an hour in line at the CVS drive-thru to do a PCP one sucks. 4) Biden for pushing those stupid at home tests into as many homes as he possibly could for free. 5) Excedrin. Another candidate for the Noble.
And probably the thing I am most grateful for… Having a great PCP who actually keeps up with the latest and greatest on this shit, and lays out all of one’s options.
And of course I’m grateful for health insurance to pay for the costs of said doctor.
I’m a very lucky person. It’s not that I forget that, but when you’re sick, it really drives things home.

Excedrin? That’s still around? I haven’t taken that in decades. It tears up my stomach lining, bigly! I think it’s the caffeine. But, I cannot use any OTC pain relievers, except for Tylenol (because CKD), and that does nothing.

Tylenol doesn't do shit IMO unless it has codeine mixed in.
And Excedrin is my new friend - somehow I'm allergic to Advil, but can still take aspirin. Have no idea why, but I'm not going to argue.

Absolutely agree with you about Tylenol. I used to take Excedrin for migraines when I was a teen but it made me sicker than the headaches. I only use aspirin for my bedtime low dose.
Instead, I take a lot of turmeric, along with daily doses of tart cherry extract for inflammation.
