Just kidding.  It’s only $26, since my car is assessed at $200.  That’s one advantage to having a 22 year old, low mileage (still at 93k miles!) vehicle.

Yes because you have to be current on your taxes or DMV won't renew your tags n registration


I'd pay that 26 and let er be. Ours isn't worth much on paper but spotsy hasn't billed us since moving back. I updated DMV right away so my lic, reg, etc is all addressed properly.

I expect some bull when I need tags next month.

The vehicle has been in my name since at least 2006. And the county is a month late getting these bills out. You’d think they would be correct, but I’ve seen a lot of complaints on line about the assessments being extremely inflated. Many vehicles have been assessed $10k over blue book!

In Fauquier County our van was discounted by half because it was equipped with assistive technology. In LBG the cost was almost the same as Fauquier and no discount. Tell me about inflated.

Check to see if Spotsy has a discount. My friend checked with Stafford and not only is her tax bill now zero, but they gave her a refund for last year's taxes too! Woo!

She was pleasantly surprised for sure! I think it went to zero because the van has permanent modifications, so you'd have to definitely be disabled to drive it (hand controls in addition to the ramp).
