COUNT ONE- Conspiracy to defraud the United States;
COUNT TWO- conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding;
COUNT THREE- obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding;
COUNT 4- conspiracy against rights. (could use a little interpretation)
More to come?

He (Smith) says they are still investigating. I’m hoping they are looking at Congress critters that participated - especially those that requested a pardon after 1/6.

I'm unclear on count 4 as well, but I'm thinking it might have to do with infringing on voter's rights, since one of the things he was trying to do was obtain the voting rolls to try and determine who voted for what candidate.
But it's past time to invoke the 14th amendment "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability."
I'm glad they finally indicted the SOB for his role in this, but sad that our country has come to this turn. And even sadder that his base still worships him and truly think that this is some sort of witch hunt and that Jan 6th was a peaceful protest at the Capitol.

How exactly is that enacted and/or prosecuted onto an individual? 2/3 of Congress isn't really going to be a thing from here on out so the truck is constitutionally applying it without congressional or even judicial (scrotus) involvement pretty much immediately after the fact.
We have what, three federal indictments now and a fourth just ahead? If the people want Marion Barry's pale white clone then go right ahead we won't even need the giant fucking asteroid.

He hasn’t been charged with insurrection, so I don’t think the 14th amendment applies. From what I’ve read, Smith limited the charges to what he is sure he can prove. Dean Obeidallah (I’m sure I butchered the spelling of his last name but he writes the Dean’ Report) says he should have been charged with treason (he’s a lawyer).

Also, he should be in jail, or at least under house arrest with no social media access. He is a danger to society and the country. Jack T. has been in jail since his arrest for 2 counts of espionage. And TFG has 37 against him! Talk about 2 levels of justice!

He's an ex-president with secret service protection - there's really no protocol in place to jail him.
That will have to be figured out.

The federal prisons say they can handle it. Plus, there’s solitary confinement. He will be very safe there. He won’t comply with any of the court directives and will threaten and endanger anyone he can because he thinks there are no repercussions. And now that his legal grifts are getting low, he will need to sell some of those secrets he stole. Do you think those sailors that sold stuff to China are out running around?

I'm not saying he shouldn't be behind bars, just that they need to get the logistics of the secret service in place. And while I'm all for solitary, it's not going to happen - if he goes anywhere it will be to a nice white collar place where he'll have a nice large cell and he can visit with whomever he wants to. So I say that any injunction should apply to anyone who talks to him - if Don Jr. says anything, he can join Daddy behind bars as an example. From what I read, since he has ss protection for life, there will have to be a cohesive plan for them to protect him, even from a jail cell - that's where the logistics come into play. How are they going to integrate the ss officers into the prison, since we all know damn well that Trump will NEVER waive that protection.

I don't know about panic - this is his standard MO. Same in Florida. He's being persecuted - Judge is being pressured by the liberals to not treat him fairly. Witch hunt, witch hunt, witch hunt.
Same shit different day.
I'd like to see the FCC go after Fox News - tell them that they are neither fair nor balanced. Okay for them to keep broadcasting, but they need to relabel themselves to remove news and make it clear to all viewers that these are their opinions. I'd also like to see pigs fly...

So Jefferson Davis got away with treason right? IIRC he was charged with it but never convicted or punished, outside of two years awaiting a trial that never took place.
Hmmm.

Yup - we have a long history of pardons - Davis, Lee, and Nixon are amongst them. And if a republican gets into the WH, Trump will join them. Unless he wins, in which case he can pardon himself

No. Not unless he changes the constitution, he cannot pardon himself. Of course, he will try.

The point was that precedence says he has little to fear because so many fear him.

But why do they fear him? Because he’s a bully? They have no spine.

No they fear the sheeple who worship at his feet and will go vote against people he tells them to.
Why, I don't know. All they have to do is say "Are you sheep who will blindly follow a man who has multiple criminal indictments concerning his actions as president, or are you intelligent people who can look at the facts?"
Oh wait - they can't say that because they'd be implying the crowd they're speaking to is composed of Democrats!
