67 degrees, partly cloudy and a slight breeze. Sadly with the breeze comes ragweed pollen. May only be able to go out for a little, but go out I will!

My favorite season. Break out the crock pot and the casserole pans but keep that pumpkin spice shit to yourself!
I've got all the window screens to the back of the house in the garage. Took them off when the ramp was done to powerwash the siding and clean the windows (there's like 9 windows on the back). Need to get them cleaned up/repaired and put back so we can open up on nice fall days.

Oh, and the hawk finally reappeared this morning. There's one of the orange Verizon underground coms line markers in the back (our second house with the main trunk of the east coast in our yard) and it sits up on top to hunt. Hadn't seen it in a couple of months and figured it had moved on. Nope. Sitting up there this morning looking well nourished. Made me happy.

Having a hawk stake out its territory near you would be awesome - they are majestic birds.
And I may or may not have a small pumpkin bundt cake in the fridge right now, so stop your hate!
For me, it's soup season. Starting with Butternut first, then will move on to navy bean.
Sadly, Mr. Minx also shares your dislike for the delicious orange gourd, so I may not indulge in pumpkin bread this year. However, it is delicious, and pumpkin is good for dogs, so I may make a 1/2 loaf, and give the rest of the pumpkin to the pooches. Also, it looks like the pie crop is really good this year.

I went through a heavy baking phase in my senior year of HS. Someone gave me a HUGE pumpkin - Baked it and made pies and bread for days and days. Very, very messy too!
