Did anyone else read the story this morning about how Ozempic appears to be successful at treating some kidney diseases and the pharma that is apparently king of the hill in that area is freaking out because it's stocks might tank?
If I've said it once I've said it a million times- The money is in the treatment, not the cure.

Money talks.
I didn't get a chance to read the article, but I know that things like obesity and diabetes put extra stress on the kidneys, so I wonder if that's what's happening.

I was only 29% caffeinated so I didn't read whatever was in the headline. It's on the list for later.
The point I was focusing on is the search for the cure being defended and all the needless pain and suffering for portfolios

Oh 100%
And it's more like - 'Oh look, we found this small side-effect! Can we make money off of it?'
Trazadone is a prime example - supposed to be an anti-depressant, but the main side effect is exhaustion and sleepiness. So now many doctors prescribe it as a sleeping pill. Personally, I can say it didn't do a good job on either side - was groggy as hell in the morning, and didn't do a damn thing for my depression symptoms.
