Read an interesting article from Robert Reich - he asked friends who work at media outlets why they weren't covering Trump's increasing paranoia and symptoms of dementia with the same intensity that they are about Biden's age.
The response - well that's 'old news'.
And we all wonder why he's the front-runner right now...

Yep, and has every media outlet in the country and many around the world wrapped around his tiny little finger.

Meanwhile, the 76 year old Trump still appears to be the front-runner for the Republican primary. Is it fair to compare his cognitive abilities to that of the president? Let's go to our political correspondent John...
Oh yes Bob, it's entirely fair to worry about both men's health and cognitive ability. The president seems to be having more issues with balance and stumbles, which is quite concerning, but also has been traveling the country touting his administration's accomplishments, and his speech and reasoning seem clear. Former president Trump has also been traveling the country campaigning, but his speech and thought processes are more than somewhat concerning. He appears to be having increasing memory issues in constantly repeating to crowds that he intends to defeat President Obama this upcoming November, even after aides correct him. And he has exhibited signs of increasing paranoia as well - both signs of possible early dementia.
In my opinion, both men would be well-served by having an independent panel of doctors assess their cognitive and physical abilities to reassure the American people that they are fit to hold the office.
Back to you Bob.

Regardless of the outcome of those independent examinations, one of them is patently unfit for the office of the Presidency and pretty much any job in government, at any level.
What we need and I mean this in all sincerity, is for Joe himself to have one of those old fashioned speeches from the Oval Office to address the nation. He needs to wield the sword and plunge it into the heart of Trumpworld with a detailed accounting of every fault, mis-step, mis-conduct, cons, lies, cheats, and crimes. He needs to run down the list of every former aide, advisor, and cabinet member that has spoken out about malfeasance they witnessed first hand and the statements they have, to a person, made public about the dangers we faced then as well as the ones to come. He needs to detail the impeachments and what led up to them, and why it's impossible to convict someone in a court where the jury worked for and with the defendant (GOP Senators), how the republican party has been complicit in protecting a criminal from any repercussions for his actions. He needs to name names of the main enablers that have betrayed their oaths and contrast them with the likes of John Kelly and Alex Vindman, for example.
I could go on and on here. Let's just say that if I wrote the speech it would probably be longer than Joe could stay awake to read. But I would also summon a meeting with every democrat in congress and make sure each and every one got on board with that message. They can certainly sell whatever platform they're running on (it looks like the Abortion issue may be their key talking point, sadly) along with whatever they think their constituents want to hear but at the same time they MUST speak these words to the Republicans and put every last voter on notice that a vote for Trump is a vote against America's founders, their ideals, the Constitution, decency, and the rule of law. If they can live with that, then so be it.

And yes, perhaps he could add a "here's what we've done" vs "here's what they've" done since he took office. It won't take long to read the list of what they've done since the only thing they've done is block military promotions, fire their own speaker of the house, and try to shut down the govt multiple times.

I would simply lay out the plain details in black and white at every campaign appearance.
Our democracy is at stake. Mr. Trump is under indictment for voter fraud, illegally obtaining and sharing highly classified documents and inciting an insurrection. All of these charges have been brought before grand juries composed of regular Americans from all parties and walks of life - each and every one of them felt there was enough evidence to justify these serious charges and bring former president Trump to trial. This has never happened before in the history of our amazing country.
But that's not what I want to address. Instead I want to address the disturbing remarks and pledges that former president Trump has promised if he is re-elected. He has pledged to pardon every person convicted of the attacks on our Nation's Capitol regardless of their role in that horrific event. He has pledged to ban any person from a list of countries he has 'approved' from entering the United States regardless of their reason or citizenship status. He has pledged to revoke the constitutional right of children born in our country to automatically be considered citizens. He has pledged to remove anyone from military command who have differing viewpoint from his own. He has pledged to arrest or detain anyone who he views as an enemy without a fair trial. He has praised brutal dictators such as Vladimir Putin and said he wants to institute some of their practices.
This is only a partial list. And these words and pledges have been documented by both conservative and liberal outlets.
One of the greatest liberties and civic duties that we have as Americans is to exercise our rights to vote. And when you go to the polls this November, I ask you to stop and consider what you are voting for. Not the men who are running for office, but what they stand for. And ask yourself - does someone who's campaign promises are all based on restricting the liberty of others truly have your best interests in mind?

Someone that writes for The Bulwark opined that Bidenomics gains will become more obvious in the next months, giving Biden a huge boost. I hope that is the case.
