Colorado Supremes have removed the orange menace from the ballot. Yes!
I hope the US Supreme Court is ready to work. They’ve got a lot of ruling to do concerning this asshole.

I also hope that Thomas recuses himself - every fucking Democrat (and I mean EVERY ONE) currently in office should be out there calling for it.
They should say that they are interested in a fair and impartial review of the case, and therefore Thomas should be recused if he refuses to do so himself - his wife was a large part of the claims of election fraud, he has accepted trips and other gifts from people in the past who are involved in those claims. He should step aside for this one.
Odds are he won't.

Even without him I have this sick feeling that the CO decision still gets overturned in the SCROTUS 5-3, majority probably citing due process.
Fourteenth- No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
No conviction means no grounds even in my extremely biased opinion. It's in the Constitution which leaves little to debate regardless of bias.

Some pundits have said this court haves NOT overturned election decisions because of “states’ rights”. We shall see.
My question is what will be the tipping point? When will Tangerine Mussolini go completely off the deep end or have a stroke/coronary event? I’d be a quivering mass of jello long before now if I were in his situation.

The question is - when will Republicans like McConnell (who aren't a part of the 'deep state') finally get the guts to speak out?
Of course, the answer is never. Or maybe he'll be one of those toadies who wait until they leave office to decry Trump - "I knew he was bad all along, but thought I could keep him in check, so I kept myself in check and never said anything"

I wouldn't, given the state of play right now. However, what other Constitutional order has ever been ruled by the SC to be up to the states? It would defeat the need for the court at best and destroy the integrity of it at worst. Very clearly Federal law precedes state's. If not, the 3 branches of Government would become 2.

Well Biden has finally started saying *something*
At a stop yesterday when asked if he believed that Trump was involved in the insurrection he said "Well that's pretty self-evident, isn't it?" And went on to say that he encouraged the insurrectionists and has doubled-down on that support.
So hopefully he might get a little more outspoken about Orange Jesus.
