Man DeSantis caved a lot faster than I thought he would - figured he'd stay through NH at least.
OTOH, he is running for Trump's VP and it wouldn't do to piss the Big Man off.
As I've said earlier, not a huge fan of Haley (she will destroy our foreign policy for starters) but she is better than Trump I guess.

You guess? She would be infinitely better if you went by only one issue- representative government.
Don't know if you saw it but one of the 400,000,000 articles about Darth Trump this weekend, was about how he is 25% decided on his VP pick and that the person wouldn't surprise anyone. Went on to say the person was nothing special. LOL so yeah, it's absolutely fucking DeSantis, you know, milquetoast. He sure wouldn't pick anyone that might steal any of his thunder as Lord Vader.

Read another article about 'moderate' Republicans and how they've been intimidated into not voting for anything that would piss off the MAGA crowd.
While I am appalled that their families are getting death threats (along with them), I also find myself thinking of the judges and prosecutors who are enduring the same but are still doing their job to make sure the process works and that Trump gets fair trials. And I also think that if these folks had stood for what was right we might not be in this situation.
And lastly I also think about what I would do in that situation - vote for a bill and have my entire family put at risk, or just sit quietly. I can't 100% say that I'd have the courage to stand, especially if my kids were involved.

I think they should have stood back in 2016 when Trump said he had the largest crowd ever at his inauguration.
Things could have been a lot different if they had called him on his bullshit on day 1. By 2020, it was way too late.

They should have rejected him en masse when he openly and publicly mocked a disabled person directly for their disability yet you know full well that even the parents of kids with CP getting disability benefits voted for him anyway.
That one thing cost me several friends because no matter where you stand on issues I expect more from my friends when it comes to character.

Well, personally it was when he said that Mexico was sending us their drug dealers and rapists. And then he kept piling it on and on. I too thought that mocking that reporter would be the defining line. Then I thought the Access Hollywood tape might do it.
Didn't think about the nutjobs who saw their salvation in him - he was going to repeal abortion rights! He was going to bring the rapture!
If you look at the list of people who died during his presidency though, they may have been right - we lost a lot of good people in those 4 years - maybe that was the rapture and we all missed it. He sure as hell fits the description of the Antichrist.

Rumor is that hair emperor is running out of money and made a deal with DeSantis to drop out. I’m not convinced that VP is it, though. Look what Tim Scott did to gain electability - he got engaged over the weekend!
