Don't know if you guys read the story, but a guy in Michigan fell through the ice on a pond or lake (don't remember which). His dog was on the ice with him and didn't go in.
Rescue worker arrived and realized that there was no way he could get out to the guy without falling in himself. He looked at the dog and asked the guy if the dog would come to him if he called. Guy called out that the dog's name was Ruby, and the rescue worker started calling to her - she ran over, got a quick hug and scratch, then was outfitted with a rescue buoy and rope. Worker called back and guy started calling Ruby. She ran back with the buoy and rope - guy grabbed it and will lots of hard work on both ends was rescued.
Ruby better get a few boxes of treats! And good on the rescue guy for thinking fast and recruiting her.
